Hurricane Ridge

Though it is a small, family-oriented ski area, traveling to Hurricane Ridge can give you a variety of options for a fantastic vacation. The average snowfall amounts to 400 plus feet of snow and the highest summit elevation is 5,240 feet.

Hurricane Ridge does not have onsite lodging.  However, there are places in the area to stay.  Some options nearby include the Quality Inn and Suites, Lost Mountain Lodge and Sea Cliff Gardens Bed and Breakfast.

Programs Available at Hurricane Ridge

Youth and education programs are offered at Hurricane Ridge. From toddlers to adults, there is a program ready to teach you how to ski at this resort. There is a ski and snowboard school that offers private and group lessons to visitors of the resort. Hurricane Ridge even has an Alpine Ski Team who train on-site and compete regionally.

What to Do at Hurricane Ridge

If skiing doesn’t appeal to someone in your group, don’t worry. There is more than one way down the mountain whether it be on skis, a snowboard or tubing with friends. At Hurricane Ridge, everyone will be sure to find a way to enjoy a day in the snow.

What to Bring to Hurricane Ridge

When visiting Hurricane Ridge, you should pack clothing that is bring warm, quick to dry and made for a wet environment. Your clothes should be created from wool or synthetic blend items, which remove moisture from the skin. Clothes that are cotton based can retain moisture and should be avoided if possible. Visitors sometimes forget their helmets, so be sure to make sure this important part of your gear is in your bag.
